O is for Origami
I think everyone has done some paper folding at some point in life. My earliest memories are from grade school. We would make these paper "fortune teller's". I remember putting numbers inside and someone would ask you a question like "how many kids will Cindy have" and then you'd open it up to reveal a number that would be your answer. There was some way we were suppose to open and close it before you revealed the number but I don't remember that part. Does anyone else remember doing this?
My favorite origami memory is from the year we hosted an exchange student named Fumi. Fumi brought origami paper with her to teach the kids, as well as folded gifts for us all. She even made this beautiful book as a thank you to us when she left. It had origami on every page and the front and back covers. I still have it...it was quite beautiful.

I think you had to count your way in to those fortune ones. But that's the way it was done in the Netherlands, it might be different to where you are.
I love origami...and I do remember those grade school paper folding fortunes...you put your thumbs and index fingers in the folds and opened and closed while counting...you sure jogged my memory with this post...I love your teeny purple shirt hard to believe it fits so good....
Oh! I remember those fortune tellers! I can even remember how to make them, and used to make them to entertain my boys! If I remember right, we used to move them at least two ways: you could choose the colour flap, then move it to spell out the colour (one move for each letter) and then choose a number from inside and move it that number of times - you'd need to have a message inside for this one. Or, you could put numbers inside and ask questions, one move for each word. It's a long time ago, though!
Ok you are too good at saving things. This hobby theme is great fun, seeing all the memories you have kept. Are you sure you don't want Jenn's skates back?
