Poo-Pourri
I saw this product while shopping and had to look twice before I realized what it really was.
Here's an excerpt from their web site explaining the product:
"Our patent pending formula of essential oils control odors by creating a barrier that prevents embarrassing bathroom smells from ever escaping the toilet. We make sure that the stinky poop smell isn't something you've left behind. So go ahead, let others think your poop doesn't stink - maybe even convince them it smells pretty nice?"
Oh my goodness....I laughed so hard.
I'm in the camp of "if it sounds too good to be true.....", but maybe you'd like to spend $10 on 2oz of this magic formula to find out? If so, let me know how it worked. :)

Eye Candy
But wait....that's not what I meant.
This is more like it:
Tink brought me back this nummy collection of fat quarters as a thank you for watching her dog. They are from The Stitchin' Post quilt store and are a Valorie Wells line....don't know the name of the line, though. Can't wait till for the perfect project to use them in......until then I'll just fondle them. Hee, hee.

Bacon
I have always joked that everything is good with bacon. The sentiment was even confirmed in an episode of "Best Thing I Ever Ate - Bacon" on the food network. One item from the episode even combined bacon with another of my favorite eats - doughnuts! It was a Bacon Apple Maple Donut from Dynamo Donuts in San Francisco. I am so going to San Fran, now. :)
Sooooo...imagine my surprise today at Central Market while Tink and I were shopping for some nummies for our afternoon pool party with the Yaya's.....when I spotted this:
Oh yeah....a chocolate bar with BACON! No kidding. And this was no ordinary Hershey's chocolate. Oh no, its an $8 chocolate bar.....very upscale, indeed. Luckily they had little sample bars......half an ounce....for a little better price.
I *had* to buy one.
I had to know -- is everything better with BACON????
Well, is it??????
NO! It is not. Bleck, ick, yuck. Thank the good Lord above I didn't buy the bigger bar.
So, maybe I don't need to go to San Francisco after all.

Little in Big...Big in Little
And then on Saturday when I was visiting my Mom she pulls out this shirt she bought for me...all the while she is giggly. Huh? I'm curiously wondering why the giggles? Well look for yourself. The blue shirt is mine...it's the size I wear. The little bitty purple shirt is what she gave me. What, am I two?
Surprise! It's one of those fabrics that stretches to fit anyone! I was amazed. She even gave a cardigan made the same way. So now this is a big enough shirt in a little package. :)
I just thought those two size things were funny and had to share.

I Never Knew
Here's my boy helping with the laundry:
Apparently I hadn't pin basted this quilt properly and some of the pins needed to come out:
Here he is acting as my stylist as I was getting ready for a party:

To Obsess
Both of us were new to blogging (me more so) and picture taking is a natural thing to do when one is a blogger, right?
The dictionary defines obsess as: to preoccupy intensely or abnormally. Hummm….we are definitely preoccupied with our blog picture taking…..yeah, I’d say it’s intense…but abnormal? I suppose that depends on who you ask. Did our fellow Red Hatters think we were being “abnormal” when we were taking pics of everything? Kinda hard to do when one is dressed in red and purple jammies with a hat made from a bra. Ok, wrong crowd. Hee, hee. Do our friends think we are “abnormal” when we whip out cameras to capture the cracker box or the doughnut at the store or their feet….or the myriad of times we are found with camera’s pointing at ourselves? Maybe!I’m not the brave type when it comes to picture taking. You’re more likely to find me hiding behind a chair and zooming in rather than standing right up for everyone to see. I’m hoping to be more like my picture taking mentor, Tink, by the time this “picture a day” thing is done with. She’s a good example when it comes to that.
So if you ever see me with my cute little red camera – SMILE!

Seeing Red
This is his second Christmas with us and he did the exact same thing last year as a kitten. There are plenty of ornaments down low that he could take off….but noooooo….its just the red bows.11/21/08
