M is for Martial Arts
Our son took Taekwondo for several years when he was a teenager. He has always excelled at physical activities (unlike his Mom...I tried learning his white belt level stuff and was too uncoordinated....it's a miracle I can do Scottish dancing!) and martial arts was the perfect sport for him. He didn't need a team to practice. He wasn't reliant on others for advancing. It was just him and his own discipline and self-motivation. This picture is from his black belt testing. I love the determination in his face. :)

I'm glad he found a sport he could excel at. Did he get the black belt?
Great original post for the letter m.
Great M. I've never tried this but have heard it's wonderful for any number of reasons.
Oh, I like that picture! I think it's funny that he didn't want anyone to be there for his testing. I'm surprised you even were able to get the picture! Good choice for M!
Now I just have to convince him that we CAN afford to have him get back into martial arts. I think I'm almost there! ;-) Which is funny, since if it was the other way around, he'd be telling me to just go for it. He's a funny guy, that one.
But I love him.
Perhaps I should marry him.
Black belt and all.
