We haven’t much experience with the hobby of leather working. The kids did a few odds-n-ends like knife sheaths when they were little. And we did learn how to tan our own hides during the years we raised rabbits and sheep. But we never did anything with them. One time Hubby and our daughter took a class at the local bead store on making small beaded leather bags. Here’s the one our daughter finished:

I love the smell of leather. These are beautiful leather objects.
So lovely. I too love the smell of good leather. Excellent choice for the letter L.
My parents did a lot of leather work and then shared their talents with kids in a parks and recreation program. I tried a few things as a kid, but never really got good at it, but I still have all of my dad's tools. I chose lake for my contribution. I invite you to come see my 10,000 year old lake water. - Margy
Lovely leather bags. I wouldn't mind owning that first one either!
