Hello to those of you who have popped over from Amy's Creative Side to see my entry for the Quilt Festival!
I've decided to enter a little mini quilt I made for a swap I was in. It was called The Name Game swap...the purpose being to create a mini inspired by our secret partners blog. We got to stalk their likes, etc, via our Flickr group. I blogged about it earlier. I had so much fun creating this little beauty.
This was my first time making Cathedral Windows and I enjoyed the process.....though it was time consuming. I can't imagine making a full size quilt this way! I used Kona Snow for the background and raided my scrap bag and button jar for the rest.....oh, and used this tutorial from Moda Bakeshop.
I'm working my way through the list to see everyone's entries! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back to visit again!
Edited to add: My entry is #296 if you are nominating and/or voting. Thanks!

Very pretty! I just tried my hand at Cathedral Windows myself but not as successfully. You've inspired me to try again!

Oh my gosh...what a wonderful project idea (quilt based on a secret partners blog). I can tell this festival is going to teach me SO much.
(PS. It looks time consuming...very smart to do on a small quilt)
Hi Cindy that is a beautiful quilt, and the colours are gorgeous, thanks for visiting me!
I love your pretty mini! I have yet to try these Cathedral windows but yours is inspiring me to get started! Lovely!
Cathedral Windows is on my to-do list. Maybe I'll try it mini first, like you, to see if I think I can handle doing it any bigger than that. Yours is so cute! I'll definitely pin this so I can remember it when I finally do mine!
This is really cute! I love the colors and buttons!
I love how classic Cathedral Windows can look so fresh and modern with great fabric choices. Beautiful job!
This is THE most gorgeous mini quilt!!! It's a bit of a coincidence because I made a Doll Quilt for Fat 1/4s and Bobbins for the Aussie Doll Quilt swap a year ago.
Wonderful. you cathedral windows look amazing. Love the bright fabrics.
this is really cute - great choice of scraps makes it so cheery
Cindy, this is a great little mini. I haven't made a mini in awhile but this may change that. Love the colors.
Beautiful!!
This is completely adorable! I love this kind of quilt but so intimidating! A mini was a great place to try it though. The colors and fabrics are terrific!
Beautiful! I have been wanting to try cathedral windows, I think a mini is the place to start. I love how the colors just pop off the white.
Fabulous! I want to do a cathedral window quilt, er, um, pillow maybe. Yours is great!

A beautiful rendition of this block. Congratulations!
This is gorgeous--it really is unimaginable to make a full size quilt, isn't it?! My mother-in-law has a king size one that her mother made!
